Thank you for using BASCOM-8051

This file contains some additional info on BASCOM-8051.

************************************************************************
When you don't see the Interrupt buttons in the simulator you need to
install
a newer version of the comctl32.dll.
You can download the file 40comupd.exe from microsoft.
*************************************************************************
On windows NT you need Administrator rights to install BASCOM.
You also need to run it at least once as an Administrator to install the
IO port driver
After BASCOM has runned once you can log in as a user without Admin
rights too.
*************************************************************************

- If you run into problems send an email to 8051@mcselec.com
with the problem and if possible the source code.

- Check out the sample files which contain info on the syntax.

- Check out our website regulary for application notes.
If you have a nice application which you want to share with other
users you can send it to MCS Electronics.

- If you have suggestions on how to improve the program
(environment/statements etc.) mail us.
We need your help to make BASCOM-8051 better!

***************************** UPDATES
****************************************

An update of the BASCOM-8051 library can be downloaded from our website
when
it is available. Your product is shipped with system module version 2.XX
You can look up the versionnumber in the Aboutbox.
Updates will have minor improvements and/or bugfixes.
The webpage will show the version, which is available.

To get the update:

Download the MCS Update utility.
Install it in the same directory as BASCOM-8051.
Run the MCS Auto setup program and fill in the unzip password :
#b8051#2001!_932434535$#
It is best top copy and paste the password btw.
Now press Start and the program will check for newer files and will
download and install them
when available.

Or do it manual:

Point your webbrowser to the following site :
http://www.mcselec.com/download/bascom-8051/basltupd.zip
This will cause your browser to download the zipped file.

After downloading the file, you must place it into a temporary
directory.
Unzip the file with the command :
PKUNZIP basltupd -s#b8051#2001!_932434535$#
!!! Note that there is NO space between -s and the password. Also note
that the password must be typed exactly as shown!
!!! The -s is a PKUNZIP command line parameter for unzipping encrypted
files.
For WINZIP or WINUNZIP you dont need to enter the -s

When the BASC5132.DLL file is unzipped copy it to the BASCOM application
directory.
(the file can only be copied when BASCOM is not loaded)
