Sure Steve,
I am working with both the Ming TX99/RX99 and the TWS434/RWS434. No real
"gotchas" as far as I have found. The only real difference I have found
is that the TWS series is cheaper and smaller so I am using them at this
point. Both work as promised and I have found the range to be fine for
anything around the house (through walls, backyard etc.). You can
basically send serial data at 2400 baud or just create your own "code"
by sending varying pulse lengths and reading them on the other end.

Feel free to ask me for further info as you get into it, but I think you
will find they are pretty straight forward.
